1 to 1 iPads - Grades 3-5

Welcome to E. Hanford Dole Elementary!!!

Rowan-Salisbury School District has implemented 1:1 technology model for grade 3-12.  Our 3rd through 5th grades have been issued an iPad 4 to use in school and also take home.

In order for your child to be issued an iPad the following requirements have to be met.  These requirements include the following:

  1. Parent/guardian and student watch informational video
  2. Parent/guardian and student sign the responsible use policy (RUP)
  3. Payment of $25.00

When turning in your registration paper work to the front office, please ask to schedule a time to complete the parent portion of iPad requirements (between 8:00-2:00). This will take about 30 minutes and must be completed!

For more information, visit the 1:1 section of RSS website http://www.rss.k12.nc.us/content/technology-one-one to access the Responsible Use Policy, online payment, Parent FAQ, and other pertinent information regarding our 1:1 initiative.

Once the requirements above are completed, your child will receive his/her iPad at school. It will come home with a charger and cord. The iPad and charger/cord must be returned at the end of the school year or if the student transfers to another school - even a school in our district. If they transfer to a school in our district the iPad will follow them and they will get it within a few days of being in attendance at their new school.

If you have any questions you may contact me at 704-639-3046 ext. 110 or by email at rutledgecl@rss.k12.nc.us
